Privacy Policy

MyQuietMind is built privacy-first. We collect the minimum information needed to make the app work for you, we never sell your data, and we never use your conversations to train AI models or serve advertising. You can delete your data at any time.

• Account information from Google sign-in: name, email address, profile picture.
• Service data you create: chat conversations, journal entries, exercise generation prompts and logs, mood tags, completion records, companion personalization (name, preferred name, voice preference).
• Voice messages (Pro feature): when you press the microphone button in chat, your audio is temporarily uploaded to our server, sent to OpenAI Whisper for transcription, and then discarded. We do not store the raw audio. Only the transcribed text becomes part of your chat history (just like if you'd typed it).
• Subscription information: tier, status, renewal date. Payment card details are handled directly by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
• Usage data: basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used to keep the service running and prevent abuse.

• Microphone — only requested when you press and hold the voice-message button in chat (Pro feature). We use the microphone solely to capture what you say and convert it to text via OpenAI Whisper. We don't record in the background, don't listen between presses, and don't access the microphone outside of an active hold-to-talk session. You can revoke this permission at any time in your browser or device settings.
• Notifications (optional) — used only to send the gentle daily reminder you opted into. We will never send marketing pushes.

• To provide the AI conversations, daily exercises, audio guidance, journal, and insights you request.
• To process subscription payments and renewals via Stripe.
• To send the daily-plan email if you opt in (you can turn this off any time in Profile).
• To respond to support requests and protect against fraud or abuse.

We do not use your conversations or journal entries for advertising. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use your data to train AI models.

To operate the service, limited information is shared with these processors:

• Anthropic (Claude) — your chat messages and exercise prompts are sent to generate AI responses. Anthropic processes them per their privacy policy and does not train on customer API data by default.
• OpenAI — exercise voice scripts and chat replies are sent for text-to-speech generation. Voice messages you record are sent to OpenAI Whisper for transcription; the audio is not retained by OpenAI for training under their API terms.
• Google (Gemini) — when you generate a share image, your prompt is sent to Google's image-generation API.
• Stripe — handles subscription checkout, payment, billing portal, and renewal.
• Resend — sends transactional and reminder emails on our behalf.
• MongoDB Atlas / cloud hosting — stores your account and service data in encrypted form.
• Emergent — our authentication provider for Google sign-in.

Each of these processors has its own privacy policy and security commitments.

• Access and export — contact us at support@myquietmind.net and we'll send you a copy of your data.
• Delete your data — use "Delete all my data" in Profile to permanently remove your chats, exercises, journal, and logs while keeping your account.
• Delete your entire account — use "Delete my account" in Profile, or email support@myquietmind.net. This permanently removes your account and all associated data within 7 days, cancels any active subscription, and cannot be undone.
• Opt out of email reminders — Profile → Daily plan in your inbox toggle.
• Cancel subscription — Profile → Manage subscription (Stripe Customer Portal).
• Revoke microphone access — at any time in your browser/device settings, or simply don't use the voice-message button.

We use a single secure HTTP-only session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.

All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. Account data is stored in encrypted databases. Only authorized systems and personnel may access user data. No system is perfectly secure; please choose a strong, unique Google password and enable two-factor authentication.

MyQuietMind is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your information may be stored and processed in the United States. By using the service, you consent to this transfer. Where applicable, you have rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA — contact us to exercise them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email if you have opted in. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
